We are seeking Network Rail–competent Engineering Supervisors (ES) to act as Geofencing Champions in support of Iarnród Éireann / Irish Rail’s national rollout of geofencing technology across the Irish rail network.

This is an operational role requiring a strong on-site and office presence. You will use your UK Network Rail supervision experience to support real-world implementation, trialling, and adoption of geofencing, while helping embed it into day-to-day engineering supervision and worksite control.

Support the practical implementation and rollout of geofencing on live worksites.

Apply Network Rail Engineering Supervisor standards and behaviours to ensure geofencing enhances, rather than replaces, established worksite controls.

Work directly with engineering teams, supervisors, and managers to promote correct and consistent use of geofencing.

Support site trials, feedback loops, and continuous improvement activities.

Identify operational, behavioural, and supervision challenges and feed lessons learned into the national framework.

Assist with briefings, demonstrations, and on-site support to build confidence and competence in geofencing systems.

Essential Experience:

Network Rail–competent Engineering Supervisor (ES) (current or previously held).

Strong experience in on-site railway supervision and worksite control.

Confidence working directly with frontline staff, managers, and stakeholders.
